The Disciples of Dirt Mountain Bike Club (DOD) boasts members from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond, but we focus our efforts within Oregon’s Southern Willamette Valley, where the club was founded and the majority of our membership live and ride. Club members share a high level of passion for mountain biking and the DOD is well known within the cycling world for being stewards of our local trails and champions for improved trail access for cyclists.

DOD is always in need of volunteers for trail work, events, communication, and more. Please sign up HERE, and tell us about your skills and interests.

Trailwork; April 9-10

Cascade Volunteers Huckleberry Trailcrew will be working on Ollallie-O’Leary trail this Saturday. DOD volunteers are invited to assist them on this epic trail. There will also be trailwork on Rebel Rock trail on Sunday.

The weekend menu includes crosscut and chainsaw logout (only USFS certified sawyers may run a chainsaw), brushing, tread repair and general debris removal.  There is a good chance that it will be a bit damp and chilly, so plan on bringing multiple sets of clothing, gloves, boots, etc.  You should have a day pack to carry your gear, lunch, snacks, and water.

Required PPE includes hard hats, gloves, glasses or safety glasses, sturdy boots above the ankle, and hearing protection.  A hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, or hearing protection will be available if needed.
If you have loppers or a hand saw, please bring them with you.  We will have a variety of other tools to use during the day.  Sawyers should bring a full saw kit.

Now for the fun stuff!  Horse Creek Lodge is hosting us with free camping in their campground.  They have fire pits, firewood, and lovely hot outdoor showers.  We are welcome to camp Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.  They have arranged for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and beverages the entire weekend.  Be prepared with any other food you need, including snacks.  Please respond by email by Friday noon if you are planning on camping and which days; [email protected]

And just a reminder that since this is a CV event, there are no dogs on the trails with us or in camp.
