Really sorry to hear about this. It’s a shame great public spots like Thurston become targets for criminals.
The comment period will close soon, but I don’t know when the BLM will make an official decision yet. When it happens, it’ll get posted up on the club sites. Riding ebikes at Whypass is a “grey area” right now. It’s not technically illegal, as BLM doesn’t have an official rule yet. I ride mine out there occasionally, and it’s a blast.
Here ya go. Michelle is a local “Shredder Gal” up in Oakridge. She will get you hooked up.

Hi A Smyth,
I will ask around for this type of group. Think I know a few people. Will post up here.
Hopefully Thurston will open soon. It’s up to Williamalane Parks and Rec.
Trail was clear of logs and problems last time I rode it. I’m sure it’s the social distancing model Army Corp. is following.
Thurston is currently closed.
The survey closes January 15. If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment and fill it out. The more voices asking for mountain bike trails the better.
14 workers came out yesterday and got Stumps Don’t Win up and running. Nice effort, and thanks to all who made it out!
This ride has been cancelled. Too wet!!

It’ll be interesting to see what POS and the city of Eugene come up with for mountain bikes at Arlie. Hopefully they will see the value in an MTB trail network and what it can do for not only the riders, but the community at large.
Thurston Hills trails are back open now. Go ‘git sum!!

There is a work day coming up on the 18th out there. Hopefully enough will get done to open the trails at Thurston. Ultimately, it’s up to Willamalane to give the green light on the trails.
