There is a work day coming up on the 18th out there. Hopefully enough will get done to open the trails at Thurston. Ultimately, it’s up to Willamalane to give the green light on the trails.

    Cheers…..

And if you can’t make both days, hit just one. NO experience necessary, so don’t think you can’t help. If you can pick up sticks, you are in!

    Cheers…..

Brad was always a ton of fun to be around, and he will be missed. I often think about him when riding bad gravity. Phuc Cancer!

That is an excellent idea! There is so much debris that can be removed without a chainsaw. Even a pitchfork can be an excellent tool for thins like small limb removal off the ground. If you don’t have a hardhat, the club has a “loaner fleet” available. Leave some contact info here, and we’ll do our best to get one on your head before you leave.

I was up there last weekend for another round, and the devastation is truly incredible. About half of Dead Mtn. got cleared, along with a section of Salmon Creek. So much left to do.

    Hi Bob,

We’ve had some great success involving the club in the last two years. As Peter mentioned, the Thurston Hills Trail System is underway, with the first ever urban single track experience for mountain bikes in the Eugene-Springfield area. Other highlights are monthly happy rides, kids rides, classics like Barbie Camp, ACM, and PAP. Lot’s of fun to be had out there. You still in Arizona? Hope to see you up here sometime. We’ll probably still be clearing trails from the snow storm!

    Cheers,

    Lee

Very sorry to hear about this Kim. It’s a shame this activity is so rampant in our area.

It’s going to be a classic round of Barbie I think. Great weather should lead to some great riding with a bunch of great people!

Great beer from a great company! They also provide beer at many of our trail work events.

Many thanks to Oakshire once again.

It is a fantastic ride and “peak bagging” experience.

Here is a link to a wonderful write-up of the adventure.

What a great time was had by all. Here are a few pictures from the event, and several winners of the fabulous raffle prizes donated by our wonderful sponsors. Thanks for all the support, and the club will keep on moving forward.

    Cheers,

    Just a thought:

While we have Track Town Pizza coming for this event, why not bring a “sharing size” snack to pass around during the festivites.
