Just wondering if anyone might be out riding there bike this weekend (7/21/17)?

I've got a free day on Saturday to get out and ride!

Was thinking about the Waldo area maybe a Twins/Charleton Loop?

    Or perhaps a NUT ride?

    How about bunchgrass?

    Anyone interested in join me?

King-Castle shuttles on Saturday for me. Alsea or BRMBA today most likely. Where did you wind up going?

I ended up doing the Exhausted Roster Ride – Over the twins and back around to Bobby Lake on saturday. Then Sunday did a loop out to Summit Lake, via Suzanne Lake and Windy Lake.

Any blood transfusions necessary after two days above 5000'?

It was worse up near Windy Lakes!  They drove me made that day!

Bugs can't keep up with Justin. How were the logs? Lot's of 'em-not too bad?

Would love to do that ride again. Maybe bring the 'rooster back this fall.

    Cheers,

once I got past teh snow drifts on the back side of the Twins, the trees weren't terrible, but there were a few.

Metolius Windigo trail to Bobby Lake was the worse part. Otherwise, about what you would expect for an early season ride.

It's a great ride Jolly, let's do it!! But first it sounds like it needs some log bucking.

Let me get with my boss and see who handles those trails. (sometimes a volunteer group takes them on).

Summit Lake > Windy Lakes > Oldenberg Lake is no man's land. The last time that section was "officially" cleared might have been when Seen Your Crash and I sawed it out 6-7 years ago in advance of a Bobbin' For Weenies weekend.

Justin, what did you find up there besides bloodthirsty winged insects?

Meek Lake trail has 12-15 trees, various sizes.

There are a few on Summit Lake trail between Meek and Windy Lakes junction.

Windy Lakes is 100% clear from Summit Lake trail down to Crescent Lake.

Oh good! Somebody got to it. I'll be eager to get up there once the bugs are dead.
