We have a flickr group now so we can all share, enjoy, laugh, remember. You can join and add pics/vids if you like or just look around. I'm tired of looking at my pics on there so when we get more…I can get rid of mine.

This is the group main page: http://www.flickr.com/groups/disciples/pool/

This is the slideshow page the icon/button on the sidebar takes you to: http://www.flickr.com/groups/disciples/pool/show/

Please, show some taste. No pics of Abe or Lance, please. Seriously, have fun, be respectful-ish.

It would be nice too, if people named their photos so that others can know where (and even when) they were taken…

I added mine from last year's ACM. They are all geotagged if you want to know where they were taken. The timestamps are correct if you want to know when they were taken.

You do get to look at Randy. I'm not sure if that is better or worse 🙂

I don't understand how to create an album, like an "ACM8" album

I'm sure there is more than one way to do it, but this should get you started.

Organize and Create -> Your Sets and Collections

There should be a small create new set link on there. It may move around depending on your browser. Click the link and it will ask you for a name. Drag and drop pictures from the timeline looking thing at the bottom and hit save when you are done. You can speed things up a bit by selecting the upload date from the drop down menu at the bottom and using the select all to drag and drop a whole mess of pictures at once.

Collections are just groups of sets. You can put all your ACM8 pics in a set and then add that to a MTB collection or something. I can't remember if there is a limit on the number of collections you can have.

The really easy way is to use an uploader that will create the set and put all your pics in it for you.

Is there a way to create sets or groups in the shared DOD group space?  When I transfered my set over to the DOD group space it didn't keep them in a set.  If there could be sets or folders in our shared space it would make it better in my humble opinion.

I don't think that is possible. Every group I've ever seen on Flickr is just a pool of pictures.

The set info is still with the picture if you click on it. I end up clicking on a pic and then clicking on the set to view all the related pics. It's a bit of a hassle, but it gets the job done.
