Shameless plug — bike class

So I'm teaching this bike basics class for REI at Beergarden the evening of Monday, Dec. 12th, 2016. That's right, it's an REI class but it's at Beergarden. Cool, eh? REI is one of DOD's sponsors and DOD is one of REI's grant partners. See how that works? 

I probably won't say much about bikes that you don't already know, but maybe, and besides you'll get $1 off beer, cider & whatnot (not all whatnot, but some) if you register for the class, which is free. I mean the class is free. Not the beer & whatnot. Okay, you get it. So it's almost like they're giving you money to attend the class. Plus if you come then I'll see some friendly faces in the audience. Plus my employer might — might — believe I've got some small ability to draw people to a cycling class. O_O

Yes, the REI/DOD relationship is a great thing! I hope some folks show up, learning some things would be good for them too. If it weren’t during our monthly board meeting I’d be there to heckle or eat…or something. It’s been on the calendar, not sure why it’s not in the upcoming events block, but I know how to fix that! Fixing in 3…2…
