Tucking in the Trail: Alpine Trail Crew Workparties (Windy Pass & 683)
Saturday, October 31st & Sunday, November 1st
Co-sponsored in part by Cog Wild Tours and GOATS
ATCA and USFS are running two workparties each day on the weekend of October 31 & November 1, to address a variety of brushing, clearing, treadwork, drainage, armoring and reinforcing switchbacks and turns on lower Alpine.
One workparty will start from Windy Pass, the other from FS683, and work our way down. You must sign up separately for each day, plan to practice social distancing, bring/wear a mask, and travel to and from the work site using Covid-safe transport guidelines. Bring your own water, lunch, extra layers, gloves and hardhats/tools if you have them; GOATS will provide for those without – please plan to arrive early to check out tools at the GOATS tool trailer ahead of the work party meet time. Limit: 10 volunteers per day.To register, please follow the link to the work parties below:
