FREE Introduction to Mountain Bike Suspension clinic TONIGHT at Bicycle Way of Life!!

Learn the basics of your fork and shock including spring rate and air spring tuning, and compression/rebound adjustment.  We will touch on basic maintenance and service as well.

Bicycle Way of Life recently received the new QUARQ ShockWiz which I will be demoing tonight.  It will be available for rent and consultation.

6:00 PM at the 2480 Alder St. location.

A big thanks to Conner from Bicycle Way of Life for putting on a very informative clinic. He did a great job of explaining both front and rear suspension functions, proper set-up guidelines, and a wonderful demonstration of the Quarq ShockWiz. (what a fun gizmo). He even took the time to help get club member Jeff Green's bike dialed in.

Looking forward to future seminars taught by Conner.

This was a highly informative clinic on suspension systems. Connor Reilly offered a university-level curriculum. This guy knows his stuff. He rides the equipment as well, so he knows application. Topics included Air Spring (Fork & Shock), Damping, Compression Damping, and Rebound Damping. The clinic finished with a good Q&A session. IMO, These kind of events are important to keep our community healthy at many levels…  I am bummed I am just now learning about the event…   Perhaps the club can have more workshops along these lines with lots of notice on the forum; not just FB.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback gents!  Im glad everybody was able to take something away from the class.

I will gladly offer this class again if there is interest.  I am also putting together classes in Mountain Bike Maintenance (cleaning, pivot service, bolt checks), Disc Brake Adjustment, Pad Replacement, and Bleed.  If anybody has other topics they would like to learn about shoot me an email and I can probably come up with something. 

I will be playing with the new Quarq ShockWiz a bit more this weekend (including a tuning session at Black Rock!), so I will know it inside and out.  It will be available to rent from the Alder shop beginning next week.

I would love to offer this clinic again if there is interest.  If there is an evening that works well for people, let me know.  Any time in the next couple weeks works for me.  Bicycle Way of Life also has the ShockWiz available for rent and if you would like a one-on-one consultation.  We will also be doing a FREE tubeless setup clinic the last week in April.  I will post the date when we have it nailed down.
