Thanks to the the High Cascade Forest Volunteers Scorpion crew, the lower McKenzie River Trail has been cleared of blowdown. On Tuesday the Scorpions headed up the McKenzie armed with chainsaws and worked their way down from Belknap Springs to the start of the trail below the ranger station. They logged over a dozen trees including this big boy which was about 80 inches in diameter at its widest but “only” about four feet where it lay across the trail.
