Let’s get this party started!!! Join Willamette National Forest and your favorite southern Willamette Valley trails organizations for National Trails Day in the Middle Fork Willamette National Forest!
On Saturday, we’ll meet at the Hardesty Mountain trail head at 9AM for trail clearing, drainage and treadwork. Located just before MP21 on Hwy. 58 heading east from Eugene and I5 on the Oakridge exit #188, this area offers one of the best riding and hiking experiences just minutes from the urban center of Lane County. Following recent late heavy snowstorms and rain, we hope to finish on the heels of some tireless volunteers, who have been working ’round the week fo the last few months to clear trails. Thanks to the leadership provided by Disciples of Dirt, we’ll have a chance to get this trail system open for business before the upcoming season is upon us.
Afterwards, please join our local trail stewards for a special volunteer recognition courtesy of Alpine Trail Crew Association, and BBQ courtesy of Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards. Feel free to bring a potluck dish or snacks to share – but NOT required! (The most important thing to bring is YOU!)
