The Disciples of Dirt Mountain Bike Club (DOD) boasts members from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond, but we focus our efforts within Oregon’s Southern Willamette Valley, where the club was founded and the majority of our membership live and ride. Club members share a high level of passion for mountain biking and the DOD is well known within the cycling world for being stewards of our local trails and champions for improved trail access for cyclists.

Please say hi at ACM on March 30th!!!

All Comer’s Meet 2024

Here is the announcement you’ve all been waiting for … All Comer’s Meet is back on the calendar! After weeks of cleanup involving hundreds and hundreds of volunteer hours, we are finally able to say that the Whypass network is ready to ride! Our rescheduled event will take place the Saturday of Easter weekend so we are hoping that spring sunshine and balmy temperatures will reward us for all of our hard work and patience.

All Comer’s Meet is an ALL ages, ALL abilities, ALL inclusive, and ALL weather social ride, party and fundraiser held at the Carpenter Bypass Trail System (Whypass) just outside of Lorane, Oregon. DOD is now in its 19th year of hosting All Comer’s Meet and it has become a much anticipated annual event, converged upon by folks from all over our beautiful state. ACM is by far DOD’s largest fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards improving the Carpenter Bypass network. This past year we were able to pay professional trail builders to help us add a one mile downhill jump line (Y2K) that connects the Yellow Gate to The Pile. So please join us March 30th to celebrate spring and the reopening of our trails!

Whypass Cleanup: Round Four

We are inching ever closer to having the Whypass network 100% open. Please come out this Saturday, March 9th and help us finish the job! Trails that have yet to be cleared include Alpha, Fun Times, Burial Ground, Salal, and Hit Parade where there are still plenty of logs to cut, limbs to toss, and debris to rake. In addition there are many rootwad holes scattered all around the network that need fixing. Forecast is calling for sunshine starting Tuesday so we expect the snow to have fully melted by the weekend.

We will meet at 10 AM at the Whypass south staging area where everyone can grab a tool and get their assignments for the day. Please wear proper PPE as in, sturdy boots, long pants/sleeves, protective eyewear, gloves, and a hardhat if you have one. DOD has loaner hardhats as well as tools, although bringing your garden rake from home will ensure we have enough. If you have a handsaw, throw that in your kit too. Pack water and a lunch; DOD will provide snacks and beverages for everyone afterwards.

P.S. If you can’t make it to the work parties but would like to contribute financially, click on the donate button above. Funds are always needed for gas/chains for the saws, more tools, and food/beverages for our dedicated workers. DOD thanks you for your generosity!
